Brambix Books (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates brambixbooks.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can ask us to delete it. We are based in India and this policy is written for customers ordering from India.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to anyone who visits our website, places an order, or contacts us — including the parent or guardian who submits a child’s name and photograph for a personalized book. If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian read this policy and place the order on your behalf.
2. What we collect
- Order details: your name, email, phone number, delivery address, and order contents.
- Payment information: processed directly by Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details on our own servers.
- For personalized books: your child’s first name, age group, gender, a photograph you upload, and any gift or dedication message you write.
- Consent record: a timestamp confirming you accepted the parental consent checkbox before submission.
- Communications: messages you send us via email, WhatsApp, or our contact form.
3. Why we collect it
We use this information solely to:
- Produce and print the book you ordered, including generating illustrations that feature your child’s likeness in a stylized, non-photorealistic form.
- Process payment and deliver your order.
- Send order confirmations and shipping updates by email and/or WhatsApp.
- Respond to support requests.
- Meet legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your child’s photo or name for marketing without your separate, explicit permission.
4. Where your data is stored

These are reputable third-party processors used only to run our production pipeline. They do not have independent rights to use your data.
5. How long we keep it
For personalized orders, all child-related material — the uploaded photo, generated illustrations, character reference images, and the final print file — is automatically and permanently deleted 30 days after your order is marked fulfilled (i.e. once production is complete), regardless of courier delivery status.
We keep an anonymized record (an order ID and the date consent was given) for a longer period, strictly for legal and accounting defense. This record cannot be linked back to your child’s name or photo once the 30-day deletion has run.
If you raise a proven-defect claim (see our Refund and Return Policy) before the 30-day window closes, we may pause deletion for that specific order until the claim is resolved.
6. Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data we hold about you or your child.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data, subject to the production and legal-retention needs described above.
- Withdraw consent for future use (this will not affect an order already in production).
To make any of these requests, email us at hello@brambixbooks.com with your order number. We will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Consent for children’s photos
By uploading a photo and ticking the consent checkbox at checkout, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child pictured, and that you consent to their name and photograph being used solely to produce the book you ordered.
8. Payment security
All payments are processed by Razorpay, a licensed payment aggregator regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. We never see or store your full card or bank details.
9. Cookies
Our website may use essential cookies required for the shopping cart and checkout to function, and basic analytics cookies to understand site traffic. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
